HP Total advisor still pops up later on at random times. How do I turn it off permanently?

I have noticed some instability myself; unless you are actually using the advisor frequently, you may want to uninstall it altogether.

Total care advisor? You mean Total Crap Advertising. HP is famous for crapware. Uninstall Advisor! (control panel, programs) It has no features that are not in Vista. Nothing but a bunch of crapware to sell more crap. It has massive memory leak problems, crashes often, VERY slow to startup, slows your computer, broken alerts and updates (except for advertising!) and only tell if Norton is working (no other antivirus!) since Symantec pays them to push upgrades in your face! Shame on HP, Shame.

if you want to stop anything from auto starting when you log on, do the following in menu type: run msconfig go to the third tab here you have a list of programs that will automatically run when you log on, uncheck any that you dont want
